Apparently as of Monday, Michigan will be shut down because our governing body can't decide on on a budget. Which means anything state run will not be available until they do. That would include public schooling. Good job, government!

D: It makes me more than a little upset to see MSU spending money on new buildings and cafs that don't need renovation, seeding lawns, etc etc when they've already hiked up tuition and will probably do it next year to make up for loss of state funds.

I am definitely going to graduate school out of state. Eventually I'll return to Michigan and start a mini revolution somehow, but right now if Michigan's not going to support me, I'm not going to support it.

Way to go, guys. e_e I'm glad I don't have to worry about renewing my license or something.

I also agree with [info]offdutydane - MSU needs to quit spending money on stuff it doesn't need and work on making the tuition more reasonable. There's a good chance I'll be forced to go out of state within the next year or so if these rates get any worse.
